Upma

Ingredients:
1-cup roasted rava (suji),
2-cup hot water,
1\2 cup chopped potatoes,
1\2 cup chopped onion,
1\2 cup green peas,
2-tbsp chopped green chillies,
1-tbsp mustard seeds,
1-tbsp cumin seeds,
5-6 curry leaves,
1\2 lemon,
3-tbsp oil,
Salt to taste,
Coriander leaves, chopped tomato and sav for garnish.

Method:
Step 1: Heat the oil in thick pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.


Step 2: Than add chopped potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.


Step 3: After that add chopped onion and cook up to turns in to golden brown.

Step 4: Than add green peas and salt.

Step 5: Than add roasted rava (suji) and mix well.

Step 6: Add hot water and lemon juice cook until all material it thick.

Step 7: Garnish with coriander leaves.


Step 8: Serve hot in serving plat and also add sav, chopped tomatoes and lemon if needed.

    hi kajal,
    what a coincidence I hade made upama for dinner tonight.The only difference is we add onions first then potatoes and lastly peas so they retain their fresh green color.
