Bitter gourd and Onion curry

Ingredients:
100gm bitter gourd,
100gm onion,
3-tbsp oil,
1-tbsp mustard seeds,
1-tbsp cumin seeds,
1-tbsp red chilli powder,
1\2-tbsp turmeric powder,
Salt to taste.
Method:
Step 1: Peel the bitter gourd and remove the most of the seeds.
Step 2: Cut bitter gourd in to round chips.

Step 3: Soak this round chips in to salted water for 1-hour.

Step 4: Cut onion in to round pieces.

Step 5: Wash the bitter gourd chips with simple water and dry with towel.
Step 6: Heat the oil in pan and mustard seeds and cumin seeds in it.

Step 7: Then add dry bitter gourd chips in it.

Step 8: Cook until they are crispy.

Step 9: After that add round cut onion and cook until they mix very well.

Step 10: Then add remaining masala in it.
Step 11: Mix well and turn off the flame.

Step 12: Garnish with tomato slice.

Step 13: Serve hot with roti and ripe mango pieces.

  27. Kajal maru karela nu shaak etlu pathetic bane chhe ke na puchho vaat. Tari recipe try karish. mari ek friend karela ane kanda na shaak ma variyali no powder pan nakhe chhe ( hindi ma badi saunf kahe chhe).

    I made this recipe for dinner, Kajal. I actually forgot to soak the bittergourd in salted water but still it was not very bitter. This is the first time I'm making this sabji with onions... very tasty. Thanks for yet another superb recipe:)
