2-cup grated white gourd,
1-cup cream of milk,
2-cup milk,
1-cup sugar,
1-tbsp cardamom powder,
10-strips saffron,
1\2-cup chopped almonds and cashew nut.
Method:
Step 1: In a small bowl take two tbsp milk and add half of the saffron and keep aside.
Step 2: Heat the milk and cream in pan.
Step 3: Add grated white gourd in median flame.
Step 4: Stirring gently continuously.
Step 5: After 15-minutes add sugar in it and mix well.
Step 6: Heat for 5-minutes more with gentle stir and add saffron milk.
Step 7: Serve white gourd halwa either cold or hot.
Step 8: Decorate with almond , cashew nut and remaning saffron.

Hey like the way you put pictures in between preparation steps. Makes it much easier to understand.
The first thing I tried to cook in life was halwa and it came out awfully bad. Funny thing is I started to cook with my little sister without having any recipe. I was 14 and she was 11 then. :)
